Leaving his corporate job at a major hotel chain in the United States, Dan set his sights on developing his own collection of hotels. But the likeness to a major hotel chain stops there. In a far reaching corner of the Fiji Islands, accessible only by boat, he set up camp, employed local tradesmen, and using predominantly the materials found on site, spent three years building The Remote Resort, Fiji Islands.
